Education, Training & Financial Literacy Requirements

In our constantly changing environment, it’s critical to receive the most recent education and training when it comes to your board of director responsibilities. This information can be received here at the Center for Board Excellence website, at MCUL conferences, webinars and other training events, as well as at credit union conventions.

The continual addition of new regulations requires dedicated board members and CEOs to learn and implement these new regulatory requirements and processes at their respective credit unions. Most recently, NCUA Regulation 701.4 was adopted to clarify the duty of board members of federal credit unions. Specifically, the NCUA added a new Financial Literacy Requirement.
